Nick Anthony is an artist, entrepreneur, & educator best known as a professional dancer, choreographer, & teacher. Hailing from Massachusetts, Nick grew up dancing & competing at his mom & aunt’s studio, the Hackworth School of Performing Arts, located in Easthampton, MA, which has been in his family for over 80 years. Following high school, he attended college in Connecticut & graduated magna cum lade from Quinnipiac University in 2010 with a B.S. degree in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management. Shortly following his graduation, Nick relocated to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in the art & entertainment industry. Nearly four years have passed since his move out west & since then, Nick has been fortunate enough to be able to create a versatile resume of experience.
As a performer, he is represented by Clear Talent Group & his work spans from film, tv, & music videos to commercials, web series, & live stage performances. Some of his more notable credits include: Misery Loves Company: A Dance Documentary, Arrested Development, Dance Moms, Real Life: the Musical, Dr. Ken, Lindsey Stirling, Neon Trees, Wednesday Atoms, Disney, Ryan Seacrest/Coca Cola, Kidz Bob, NBA D-League, Signature from “Britain’s Got Talent,” & GAP.
From an entrepreneurial perspective, Nick has had the opportunity to work on several projects as an organizer, manager, producer, creator, & director. He has served as an event manager for Travis Wall, Nick Lazzarini, Kyle Robinson, & Teddy Forance’s dance company “Shaping Sound” (2011) & has also served as the Executive Director for the Generation IV Dance summer intensive (2010-2012). Currently, Nick has his hands wet in several business ventures that are soon to make a splash in the dance industry. Most notably, he is the Director of Operations for IV REAL MVMNT, an art & education based company founded by William & Monique Wingfield; & he is also a Co-Creator & Co-Executive Director for UN.Conventional, a brand new “dance for film” intensive training & performance event being held annually in Los Angeles, CA. Nick has also recently been working as an independent producer on various projects & has several of his own entertainment ideas in development as well, one of which is his very own production company!
Aside from working in the industry as an artist & entrepreneur, Nick is also incredibly passionate about teaching & choreographing, two things he has been practicing for over twelve years. Although he trained in all styles of dance growing up until the age of thirteen, Nick now primarily focuses on hip hop, contemporary, & acro/tumbling. He frequently travels the country, as well as parts of Canada & Central America, independently to work with studios, workshops, conventions, competitions, & students of all ages & levels, both in the classroom & on stage. He is a faculty teacher for Generation IV Dance’s summer & winter events & he is also a faculty teacher & panel judge for Dance Educators of America, American Dance Awards, Dance Masters of America, & DanceXplosion. Nick often works as a DJ & host for Headliners Dance Competition as well.
Whether he is performing, choreographing, teaching, judging, or hosting, Nick always does so with the hopes of inspiring, educating, & entertaining as many aspiring young artists as he can through his movement, knowledge, experiences, & passion. Nick is a firm believer in passing on everything he’s learned & paying it forward to the next generation. He is very grateful to be able to do this through his range of work in dance, entertainment, & the arts as a whole & he looks forward to every opportunity he is given to share. When not on the road spreading the love, Nick continues to do so locally in LA as a resident teacher at Liv’ Art Studios & Relevé Studios. He also occasionally subs at Independence Dance Company & the world renowned Millennium Dance Complex.
